This is a 2 ply, sport weight 100% Wool yarn (Romney/Gotland/Shetland mixed breed sheep). As a warm, lustrous and durable yarn, it would be ideal for mid to outer layer accessories and garments. Spun at Wave Fibre Mill near Parry Sound, Ontario, this special yarn has been fully grown and processed within Ontario using regenerative farming and processing practices. Because of this, the mill has left a considerable amount of lanolin on the yarn, which, in our opinion, makes for a very enjoyable knitting experience. This yarn will bloom considerably after washing so be sure to swatch before starting any projects.
This yarn would also be lovely in woven cloth and has been used for the warp of our woven fabric, as a single ply.
This batch of yarn is made from the same fleeces as our woven fabric.
