This 2 ply, fingering weight 100% Wool (Romney/Gotland/Shetland mixed breed sheep) is available in two natural shades: off white and dark brown/charcoal. As a warm, lustrous and durable yarn, it would be ideal for mid to outer layer accessories and garments. Spun at Wave Fibre Mill near Parry Sound, Ontario, this special yarn has been fully grown and processed within Ontario using regenerative farming and processing practices. Because of this, the mill has left a considerable amount of lanolin on the yarn, which, in our opinion, makes for a very enjoyable knitting experience. This yarn will bloom considerably after washing so be sure to swatch before starting any projects.
This yarn would also be lovely in woven cloth and could be used for warp.
This batch of yarns was processed in the year when our beloved farm dog, Luna, passed away, so it has been named in honour of her, who spent so much time with us, out with the sheep.
