This is a 2 ply, sport/DK weight 100% Wool yarn (Romney/Gotland/Shetland mixed breed sheep).
It was botanically dyed on the white Sola yarn base, by Brittany Piper of Everwilde with Hopi Black Dye Sunflower, producing a grey green colour. As it has been dyed on the white Sola yarn base, it can be combined easily in a project with the white, Black-eyed Susan yellow-green, and Indigo medium denim blue colours. Perfect for stripes, colour blocks or Fair Isle colourwork.
As a warm, lustrous and durable yarn, it would be ideal for mid to outer layer accessories and garments. Spun at Wave Fibre Mill near Parry Sound, Ontario, this special yarn has been fully grown and processed within Ontario using regenerative farming and processing practices. Compared with the undyed white Sola yarn, this has been bloomed as part of the natural dyeing process.
Technical specifications:
– Spun to 2600 yards/pound, plied to 1300 yards/pound
